My family and I booked in for three nights and at the time of writing, we are in to night two. We've not had any major issues but did notice the phones weren't working and one of the closet doors appeared to be slightly falling off it's hinge. Not a big problem as it just meant running down to chat to the reception team each tine I had a question or wanted to order food to the room. As the staff are so friendly, this wasn't an issue and I even took the stairs to make up for all the delicious in house catering I was eating. The breakfast on offer was great with a self serve style for the bacon, mushrooms, etc with a few bits that can be ordered. I don't think I was made aware of there were extra stuff that could be ordered but I could have missed the sign or this is a standard practice and I'm out of touch. It was only as I was leaving I overheard a conversation that enlightened me. Will be looking into this tomorrow as I fancy some pancakes! There are also pool and gym facilities on site for which my family and I enjoyed (the pool that is...my exercise stopped at running up and down the stairs) Overall, it has been a great stay thus far and would have given five stars of not for the small bits mentioned above. My wife and I would definitely come back in the future.
Really lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Unfortunately they didn't have a fridge in the room, but they did offer to store our bits in a general guests fridge and freezer using a ticket system. The heated pool was great and had a one to one ratio requirement for kids under 5. Breakfast was good, again very friendly staff there each day. There was lots of parking available and so many shops, restaurants and supermarkets very close by. The IKEA was a few minutes walk away as was the Metro Centre.

Stayed here with my husband and our 1 year old, we travelled as my husband had to work for one day in the area, we decided to make it a road trip and go together. The staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming... definite Northern charm in this hotel! The room was clean, very very comfortable, up to date and much better than some of the supposed 4/5* hotels I’ve stayed in down south for 2/3 times the cost. Breakfast was help yourself buffet, nothing special, but a good selection and we definitely didn’t leave hungry!
We booked here six months or more for Fri, Sat, Sun, departure Monday morning. Cost was £131.32 and breakfast is included. Everyone else that waited until couple weeks before were around £90/night. Book early and save loads. We only had two problems, 1 the shower drain took while to clear the water so it travelled to the doorway before we noticed it. 2 the bed was a little harder than we like. Just trivial problems. Noisy first thing in morning which was ok by us. It saved setting an alarm call for breakfast. Breakfast is help yourself and was cooked very well. There is a 24hr licence for guests only if you just want a quiet drink. All in all it was a great stay. Worth 4 stars from us.

clean and quiet night's sleep. had beds set up correctly in the family room too. Standard premier Inn. breakfast was OK, staff were very attentive.
Does what it says on the tin. Comfy beds, not too far from Newcastle center. No A/C in the rooms though, so can get a little warm in the summer.

Where is that Geordie hospitality I've heard of. Sour enough to turn milk. Quick edit after reading the reply from the Denton. You need to communicate to show a sense of humour. There was no greeting and you were miserable so no it wasn't Geordie sense of humour. Me dad is a Geordie so for 55 years I've known what a Geordie sense of humour is you were just miserable so the point about turning milk stays.
A warm and friendly atmosphere. It has to be the most welcoming pub in the local area. You have to pay for parking which makes no sense given the location, unless people park there when going to crematorium? You get the money back when you buy a drink at the bar but it is an irritant. Nice fire to keep you warm in winter as well

I stayed in room 4, in the annex, a twin room with shared bathroom. Room was fine, clean and spacious. The showers are in my opinion poor. The power was not great, and ran hot and cold, and the shower head could do with being replaced. Breakfast was o.k., a selection of fruits and yogurt etc. Host was pleasant and friendly
Very friendly owner, used to having cyclists stay over. Room in perfect shape at a very reasonable price.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
